Accessibility
We dreamt of a holiday house which is beautiful and comfortable for everyone. During the design and construction of the house, we consulted with INTER. Tourism Flanders awarded us the accessibility A+ and made this beautiful movie.
The ground floor and the garden are accessible for people with reduced mobility, old or young, for buggies, walkers, wheelchairs, etc. toe
Everywhere, turning circles of 1.5 metres and door openings of at least 90 cm were taken into account.
The driveway was made wider and the door was equipped with an electric lock and door pump, which can be operated with a code or badge.
Those who need peace and quiet will enjoy the peaceful surroundings where at night you can only hear the cries of the tawny owl.
The holiday home is sober and low-stimulus, but warmly furnished. The light switches and stairs are in contrasting colours.
The kitchen was adapted with a wheelchair-accessible sink and hob, a shelf near the refrigerator and a raised plinth.
You reach the cozy living room via a slope. Here too, there is sufficient space to pass and turn.
In the spacious room (36m2) on the ground floor you will find an electric box spring, an electric sit-stand desk, a bunk bed, a sofa, a lowered clothes rack and a bathroom with a shower seat, an adapted washbasin and a toilet with grab rails.
The kitchen connects nicely to the terrace from the double opening window. The path around the house has been made wider (1,5m).
In the house you will find tips for wheelchair accessible walks.
We are open to suggestions to make the house even more comfortable for our guests.
